  • Michael Crandall is a macro investor with 25 years of experience, consistently constructing portfolios that capitalize on structural regime shifts in the economy and across industries. 

    As Executive Director and Senior Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley, he managed a $2 billion portfolio across public and private markets, investing in sectors from basic resources to technology. He co-founded Caip Partners, a global opportunistic hedge fund, where he focused on industries undergoing structural transformation, using macro analysis for long-term investments. 

    At Maverick Capital, he was Managing Director of the $10 billion long/short equity hedge fund, specializing in technology investments. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Analyst at Pequot Capital, focusing on the semiconductor industry, and an Analyst at Morgan Stanley Asset Management, covering technology, energy, industrial, and financial sectors. With a strong ability to identify economic inflection points, Michael has built a track record of identifying and executing high-impact investment opportunities across multiple asset classes.

  • Ian is a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and a member of STEP. He is the founder and Executive Director of Via Executive Limited, a specialist management consulting company and the managing director of Regent Mercantile Holdings Limited, a privately owned investment company. 

    He is current Chairman of AIM listed Seed Innovations Limited and is also a non-executive director of Darwin Property and associated companies which manage funds investing into a range of property assets valued at over £1 billion, Curlew Capital Guernsey Limited which manages funds investing into purpose built student accommodation valued at over £200 million, and Cayman registered NewGen Long/Short Fund which has assets over multiple funds of ˜$1B. 

    Mr. Burns is formerly a non-executive director and audit committee chairman of London listed River & Mercantile UK Micro Cap Ltd (market capitalization £90 million) and Twenty Four Income Fund Limited (market capitalization £760 million). He is licensed by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission as a personal fiduciary.

  • Peter is a top-performer and thought leader with over 30 years of experience analyzing global and domestic commodity and financial enterprises. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated international management expertise, excelling in marketing and capital raising, operations, compliance, new product and service development, and overall business management. As an industry influencer and early adopter of emerging technologies, Peter is recognized for his strategic business management expertise and ability to drive innovation.

    Before joining Primary Commodity Fund, Peter served as a Managing Director at Geneva Trading, a leading global proprietary trading firm, where he established alternative asset initiatives and led business development, sales strategy, and product services to optimize growth and profitability.

    Prior to Geneva Trading, Peter was the Global Head of Sales and Digital Assets at Folding Light LLC. There, he developed digital asset initiatives, building and leading a highly-skilled technical team to establish a sales and trading desk.

    Prior to that, Peter spent 8 years of his career at Kottke Associates (now Hehmeyer Trading + Investments), a global investment firm, where he advanced from Trader to Managing Director of Business Development. In this role, he led successful business development and sales initiatives, exceeding targets in advisory roles with institutional investors, generating robust pipelines and collaborating with portfolio managers to ensure profitability and mitigate risks.

    Peter’s experience also includes serving as a Principal at Keenan Trading and a Commodity Trader at Cargill, Inc.

    Peter received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Montana.

  • Don Hains is an industrial minerals exploration and economic geologist with 50 years of experience in development, use and analysis of industrial minerals properties and materials. He has held product research and business development responsibilities with Fiberglas Canada Inc. and Domtar Construction Materials, and has been consulting in the field of industrial minerals markets and economics for the past 40 years. His experience encompasses most of the industrial minerals and specialty metals, especially battery raw materials, antimony, tantalum, niobium, gallium, germanium, rare earths, and end use applications and markets for specialty minerals and materials. Assignments have ranged from valuation reports to feasibility and market studies. He is a registered professional geoscientist in Ontario (#0494) and a Professional Member of the SME (#4175075). Don is the author of the Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting of Lithium Brine Resources and Reserves and a co-author of the Best Practice Guidelines for Reporting on Industrial Minerals Resources and Reserves. These guideline documents provide recommended best practice when reporting resources and reserves under NI 43-101. 

  • Charles Maybury is an Investor Relations and Sales Executive with a strong track record in high-level client management, investor engagement, and business development within the international events and mining sectors. He has worked in London, Melbourne and New York. As a Business Development Manager & Investor Relations Executive at Beacon Events, he has negotiated and closed high-value sponsorship deals across North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia, managing relationships with a diverse portfolio of international companies. He has played a key role in organizing and executing large-scale global events, attended by over 100,000 representatives from more than 50 countries. Charles specializes in handling investor relations for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and government officials, ensuring bespoke needs and expectations are met while providing strategic exposure opportunities. With experience in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, he is highly skilled in relationship management, strategic sales, and cross-border deal-making.
